
Australia’s central bank unexpectedly
raised its benchmark from a 49-year low and
signaled further increases in coming months amid signs the
economy is strengthening.
As per ABA website "At its meeting today, the Reserve Bank Board decided to raise the cash rate by 25 basis points, to 3.25 per cent. "
