* NTPC : Govt plans to allow NTPC to sell ~10% power at market pxs ahead of
 FPO.. separately co plans to build 301mw solar power plants by Mar 2014

* HCL INFOSYSTEMS : bags Rs 1bn radio network contract in partnership with
 Motorola from Delhi Govt

* BHARTI AIRTEL : media rpts co close to acquiring majority stake in Bangladesh
 operation of Warid Telecom.. separately looking to enter the WiFi biz space

* BANKING : bank lending picked up 5 fold in Dec MoM after sluggish Nov mth

* DLF : media rpts co to take up major restructuring plan splitting co into 5
 verticles.. current DLF to become a holding co

* JINDAL STEEL & POWER : plans to match offer of Chinese energy co offer of
 $176mn for Australian coal firm Rocklands Richfield

* GODREJ CONSUMERS : mgt says aggressively looking at acquisitions in LatAm,
 Africa & Asia to expand overseas.. may pay ~Rs 8bn for Sara Lee local unit
 stake.. plans to initially borrow Rs 15bn to fund purchase
