The IT department of HP has floated a request for proposal (RPF) to realty companies
to design, develop and manage the upcoming IT-park cum-township near
Waknaghat in Solan district.

Investment required : Rs 500 crore.

Technology companies such as HP, Infosys, Wipro,
and TCS have evinced interest in setting up base in the IT park. As per
estimates about 20 acre can be offered to these companies. The state

The Himachal Pradesh town and country planning
department has issued new guidelines for the development of the IT park
whereby it has allowed ground coverage of 50% and floor area ratio
(FAR) of 1.75. Exemption from land and building tax is given to the
land and buildings within the declared software technology park, IT
habitats and hi-tech cities.
