Aditya Birla Nuvo , a good combinatoin of growth business

Aditya Birla Nuvo has been created by putting together bunch of companies including Indo Gulf, Birla Sun Life,Hi tech carbon and apparel retail including brands like Peter England and Van Heusan.

Without looking at much about recent numbers I like overall combination of different business ABN operates. Fertilizer is a great business coming years as govt price control eases they will be more profit to make in Indo Gulf . The brands in apparel business have unique position and if  Birla can retail them rightly it can be good competitor to Pantaloon.

Life insurance is a growing business and once companies start listing there is value to be unlocked from this business.

I will recommend Aditya Birla as a candidate for defensive portfolio.
