After Mr Ambani acuired Adlabs form Shetty, growth has exploded in this company. Adlabs is doing what Reliance communication has done in telephony. Adlabs has become corporate symbol of Bollywood. Based on actions apparently it looks like management is not too keen on making money in short term. They have been heavily relying on growth and new investment. Adlabs is present in almost all segment of entertainment industry in India, Movie making, distribution , Multiplex, Radio and soon television.
I would compare it to viacom of usa.
As an investor we look for profits, that's what drives market value of a company and unfortunately there is no profit in sight for Adlabs yet. But no doubt that this is an entertainment powerhouse and once monopoly is established it will have huge pricing power. After all everyone needs good entertainment. whatever may be the cost .
