Lifecycle of a sector in developing economy

Ajay Khandelwal's picture

It happens in almost all developing economy ..

Beginning

A sector get initial traction --
investor discover the sector and pour money --
Middle

more companies pop up to take advantage of opportunity --
new companies create more competition --
 lowers profitability of established player
Maturity

companies realise they can not survive
 boys dies and man surives

As investor you don't want to be in a sector that is in "middle"

Telecom is already in middle game, Airlines gone through it and education and infrastructure are still in beginning but can soon go into middle.
